Our Camp

What are the Check-In and Check-Out times for RV/Tent Camping?

The check-in time is 1pm. The check-out time is 11am. Our office is open daily between 1pm and 7pm.

I will be arriving late. How do I check in?

Our office is open between 1pm and 7pm. It's best to arrive before dark to make it easy on yourself and others. However, arriving late is also fine. If you have a reservation and arrive after the office had closed, you would have received detailed instructions by email and will also find a named note on the information board outside the office. Please let us know your estimated arrival time via the booking form if you do anticipate getting here late. We do accept walk-ins and have the "Late Arrival & Self Check-In" box with instructions on how to check in and settle payment after hours.

We’d like to visit as a group: how can we arrange our stay?

Please contact us with the desired dates, your RV types & lengths and/or number of people, in case you’re hoping to stay in our rentals or tent camp, so we can confirm we’re able to accommodate your group and help you with the booking process.

When do you close for the winter?

We typically close in mid-October (October 16th, 2022), except for our year-round Blu House rental, and re-open in late April, just in time for "Fishmas" (the Sierra fishing opener).

What is your cancellation policy?

You can view our booking requirements as well as the cancellation policy here.

Do you allow pitching tents on the RV sites?

Unfortunately, we don’t. The RV sites are gravel so they're not great for tent camping anyway. You’re welcome to book one of our tent sites here. They are closest to the lakeshore and a short distance from our lower level RV sites.

Do you have showers?

Yes, we have nice showers with hot water. We want you to feel at home, so we pride ourselves on maintaining sparklingly clean bathrooms. The use of showers is included in all our nightly rates.

Do you have laundry?

Yes, we do. Our cute laundry room will make you look forward to the laundry day! You're welcome to use our blazing fast (1GB) fiber optic WIFI internet and hang out in the outdoor area while you wait for your clothes. We also have some games and books there that you're welcome to borrow.

Are campfires permitted?

Yes, campfires are permitted in our communal fire rings. We hope that you will use them also to socialize and get to know other campers, perhaps creating lasting friendships. When there are no fire restrictions in place, you may also bring your own elevated portable fire pit and use it at your site, as long as you’re careful that the ashes don’t discolor the site. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

Do you allow pets? Is there a charge for them?

We allow up to two dogs per reservation and don’t charge extra for them. Please let us know if you’re planning on bringing pets at the time of booking. Please use a leash when at the camp and pick up after your pets.

What is the water level like?

The water level varies greatly, based on the snow pack and time of year, and will be low when there's little snow in the winter. Typically, the lake’s edge will recede as the season progresses. So, if you are coming later in the season (late August onwards), you should expect the water level to be lower. With that said, the views and our sunsets are still breathtaking!

Do you accommodate large rigs? 50 Amp?

We can accommodate rigs up to 42 feet long. 30 Amp only. The camp was built a while back and it’s ideal for smaller RVs.

Can I come to your place and only use your showers / your dump station?

Unfortunately, we don’t offer showers / dump station access to people who don’t stay with us.

Do you have kayaks / SUP?

Our guests are welcome to use kayaks and stand up paddle boards on the reservoir. All on first come first served basis.

Do you have WiFi Internet / Cable TV / mobile coverage?

We encourage our guests to “unplug” and immerse in the slower paced life but do have WIFI internet. And not just any WIFI but blazing fast (1GB) fiber optic internet broadcast over mesh network. Some of our guests think it may be the fastest WIFI in the Eastern Sierra! There’s never been a better time to move your office away from the city and into the nature if you’re looking for an extended workcation. You can now get all your remote work done while enjoying everything this area has to offer. There’s NO Cable TV. We get great Verizon signal at the camp, and you can catch AT&T signal closer to town.

Rental Trailers & Blu House

What are the Check-In and Check-Out times for Rental Trailers and Blu House?

You’re welcome to check in anytime after 3pm. It’s best to arrive in a daylight. However, arriving late is totally fine. Please look for email with your self check-in information that we would send out within a week prior to your stay. Please let us know your estimated arrival time via the booking form or by email, particularly if arriving late. Check-out time is 11am.

What are the common rental trailer amenities?

All trailers have high speed (1GB) fiber optic WiFi Internet, TV with DVD player (except Cape and Sierra Stream), fridge, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Each trailer has heating and A/C. The kitchens are fully equipped with utensils, cookware, pots and pans, glasses, cups, plates, paper towels, dish soap and all the typical kitchenware. Beddings, towels, and hand soap are also provided. Each trailer has an outside seating area with outdoor furniture, as well as private fire pit and BBQ for your personal use. We provide one-use supply of charcoal briquettes, to get you set up for your grilling and outdoor entertaining, and you can buy firewood at the office.

Can I use the communal bathrooms?

All our rentals (except for the Sierra Stream) come with their own private bathrooms and shower. You're also welcome to use our communal bathrooms if you'd like to.

Is smoking allowed?

We try hard to make your stay pleasant and odor free. All rentals are non-smoking.

Do you allow pets? Is there a charge for them?

We can accommodate up to two four-legged campers in our Baja trailer.  We don’t charge extra for them but ask that they stay off the furniture (beds, sofas etc.) and are not left in the rental unattended. Please pick up after your dog and use a leash when at the camp. We like being dog friendly and try to maintain being able to offer that to our guests, but won't be able to accommodate heavily shedding pets that aren't house trained. Please let us know if you’re planning on bringing pets at the time of booking, thank you in advance!

Can I get propane at your camp?

Yes, we can fill your RV or portable tank, whether you stay with us or are just passing by.

Do you sell firewood and charcoal?

We do sell charcoal; we currently (October 2022) don't have firewood for sale, please bring your own. Thank you!
